EPIDEMIOLOGY AND DISEASE CONTROL

Epidemiology and disease control is one amongst the accredited courses in Famsas College of science and technology, keffi. The course introduces students to the concept of disease and public health surveillance and explains the relationship between surveillance and disease outbreaks. It also trains students in epidemiological principles, methods, and practices through constructive coursework and offers them the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills and experiences for studying and measuring the distributions, characteristics, causes, and prevention of disease, disability and premature death in humans. At the end of the program, every student must under-go national examination exercise usually conducted by the council after which he/she will be certified a professional in the field upon passing the examination.
